I'm using Vista Home Basic and after installing SP1 I got the dreaded error when playing ANY mp3 or wma music. installed windows media player 10, (11 sucks ass) clicked on options, top right hand corner, next to the minimize button, went into TOOLS, the options. I get alternating error messages, either C00D11B1 or C00D1199. Reboot And VOILA, for me, the problem is gone!

Just try to follow this stapes and inshallah your problem will get solved :- 1- Write click on ( my computer ) 2- properties 3- from the write side click ( HOWEVER I just solved my issue and feel compelled to report it. Hours wasted on these codecs and regsvr32 quartz.dll did the trick. No problems thereafter.
