Plz Help! Slow Startup

Cable select fixed it. Earlier it was taking just 25-30 seconds for booting but now it is taking around 3-4 minuts.

Any help would be much appreciated... I've looked in BIOS and I can't find any option to disable an IDE scan, so i'm out of ideas. hope this helps !! The machine posted super-quick!

Has anyone with slow boot times found any fix for it? Also, if you do cable select, make sure the optical drives are on the secondary strip as this can cause conflict too.
