Suddenly I got a blue screen and the PC restarted itself. Computer freezes (no bsod) sound distorts and needs a hard reset. In some situations, some programs may Autosave your work every few minutes.

So I did a uninstall, registry delete, removed the drivers etc. unfortunately no i do not. So, I tried to ctrl+alt+delete to get into task manager, but that has not worked - nor has the mouse, or anything. I can imagine it being incredibly frustrating; especially when you're - as you put it - not a computer whizz! #6 facedown View Profile View Posts 26 May, 2013 @ 5:39pm

My computer doesnt respond and then freezes and I have to restart it by holding power button.

also did you try another browser? read review As well as this it seems to completely disregard my choice of homepage (I use Chrome) and always starts on a random page probably related to a virus that is installed. Wouldn't the auto update issue still occur? In SOME cases when reinstalling Windows, Windows will create a "Windows.Old" folder on your harddrive as a backup for you to use after the reinstallation, but this should never be relied

No, you need to re-install Windows. Once it's booting correctly, then connect your other drives and boot up, and do the "add drive/drives" through windows via formatting NTSF. I thought it might have been my pc...but you have a nice rig. I uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Silverlight.

Thanks in Advance. Give me a sec to give a response to that. I don't know how to determine the problem, because there seems to be no obvious causes, the problem is just "there" and likes to rear it's ugly head when it feels have a peek here Thank you.

Update: Now I don't even get to the character select and then the loading screen. If so, the SSD (or the Windows installation on it) is a likely culprit as @Player177 mentioned. A defective hard drive, stick of RAM, video card, or another piece of hardware can cause a computer to freeze.

i have two monitors; i've seen the same crash in fullscreen mode and windowed mode.

And with no reply? I can't play league Going to try again later...Been sneaking around to find a fix. I've searched out many threads and google searches on this, so please hear me out - I have tried to research it without much luck. If not, reinstall Steam while Windows is still booted "normally".If you can't even get into Safe Mode, then a reinstall would be the step to take, I feel.Yes, reinstalling Windows would

Now the only game I have set to be automatically updated is the one currenly played and I have had no problems since. Helpful +6 Report xpcman 17187Posts Wednesday October 8, 2008Registration date ContributorStatus February 21, 2017 Last seen Dec 9, 2008 at 11:37 AM IF you have the XP CD you can do
