Please Help A Newbie With Ghost Imaging

I just bought a new laptop (with a standard 7200rpm 500GB hard drive with Windows 7 pre-installed). The maximum transfer rate for USB 1.X is 1.5 MB/s (12mb/s). Now I use DVDs and just take my DVD+Rs and put them on a 100 CD spindle with all my other old CD/DVD backups so I can go back a couple Would recommend it to anyone, w/ a caveat that Symantec has changed Ghost in the last year or so. If you select the drive that disk one is in, you can't put a file name in.
