It's all about the network.

OUR DESIGN IS SIMPLE We're building our 240 Gigabit network with connections to every major network possible. Just take a look at the network diagram below to see the many different providers we're already connected to today!

Since every provider we wanted was not available at our flagship Uber Center, we've gone to the expense of leasing wavelengths to major carrier meeting points in order to ensure access to every major network. We then back-haul transit over blazing fast fiber to our facility. How many other data centers go through that expense just to improve their network connectivity?

AN UBER NETWORK FOR UBER BANDWIDTH The Uber Bandwidth IP network boasts better than carrier class topology designed for 100% uptime, low latency and high capacity that is hard to find anywhere else. Listed at the right are the three key elements of our network infrastructure design:

UNSURPASSED NETWORK CAPACITY, SPEED AND PERFORMANCE

  • Direct, leased fiber to Atlanta, GA
  • Direct, leased fiber to Ashburn, VA
  • Quadruple, diverse fiber optic entrances
  • 10 Gigabit Internet links
  • 240 Gigabit backbone with capacity for 1 Terabit
  • 15 (and growing) Transit providers
  • 100 (and growing) Peering network providers
  • Internap Flow Control Platform (FCP) to optimize Internet routing to leapfrog transit networks for the shortest path to destination

PARALLEL, REDUNDANT, MULTI-TIERED NETWORK

  • Redundant Cisco ONS 155xx as well as Alcatel-Lucent 1665 DMX shelves for 10G fiber transport
  • Redundant Cisco 76xx routers for BGP
  • Redundant Cisco 65xx switches for distribution

MULTIPLE LAYER SECURITY TO PROTECT AGAINST THREATS

  • Redundant TopLayer 5500 E Series IPS to protect against threats including Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
